People quite often buy clothes and shoes for themselves, do it spontaneously, seduced by their appearance and cost.
And only a few think – how convenient and useful the purchased item will be for them, how long it will last for its owner, and whether it will harm his health. Indeed, for example, improperly selected shoes can cause its owner not only discomfort when worn, but also serious foot diseases.
As a practical person, I approach the selection of my wardrobe very carefully, preferring to buy things that have their own history, time-tested and won the trust and popularity of the consumer. The main criteria for me in choosing clothes and shoes are quality, reliability and durability, convenience and comfort. Not the last role, of course, is the appearance. Continue reading
The very first Adidas running shoes
Adidas was founded by the Dassler brothers – Adolf and Rudolph. Officially, the company’s founding date is August 18, 1949, but this was preceded by 25 years of experience in the “Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory”.
It all started in 1924. In the small Bavarian town of Herzogenaurau, two brothers lived – Rudolph (Rudy) and Adolf (Adi) Dassler. Their father worked in a shoe factory, their mother worked as a laundress. Both brothers had just returned from the war, the younger Adi began to make shoes in the back room of his mother’s house. Then his older brother Rudolph joined him – this was the beginning of the history of the cult brand. Soon, the brothers opened a small factory and called it the “Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory”.

Nike Air Max: evolution of legendary sneakers for 27 years
March 26, 1987 a legend was born. Her name is Nike Air Max. In anticipation of a landmark day for fans around the world, we recall the path to becoming and transforming the running shoe icon, Nike Air Max.
It all started with the idea of aerospace engineer Frank Rudy, who had his own vision of the perfect fit of running shoes and its role in the lives of athletes. The name of the Asics brand is widely known, but not everyone knows that the sneakers and sneakers produced by Onitsuka Tiger are directly related to the famous brand. But for almost 30 years, from its founding in 1949 until its merger with strong competing firms in 1977, as a result of which the Asics brand appeared, the company existed under the name Onitsuka Tiger. The symbol of the company is a tiger depicted on the sole of sensational models of sports sneakers and a sneaker, which meant not only the strength and determination inherent in athletes, but also the highest quality of products. Adidas – sports shoes conquering the world.
It is believed that sneakers, as an independent type of shoe, appeared in the United States at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. The first models were shoes with a rubber sole and fabric upper, as well as a reinforced back and toe. These shoes were so soft and comfortable that the steps of the person walking in them were not even heard. From here the American name of sneakers went – “Sneakers” (sneakers from English sneak – to sneak, sneak up). Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to restore the manufacturer and the exact date of the very first sneakers, since today there are many very conflicting opinions on this.
However, it is well known that in 1917 Converse released the first pair of shoes designed specifically for playing basketball – Converse All-Stars sneakers. Continue reading
