People quite often buy clothes and shoes for themselves, do it spontaneously, seduced by their appearance and cost.
And only a few think – how convenient and useful the purchased item will be for them, how long it will last for its owner, and whether it will harm his health. Indeed, for example, improperly selected shoes can cause its owner not only discomfort when worn, but also serious foot diseases.
As a practical person, I approach the selection of my wardrobe very carefully, preferring to buy things that have their own history, time-tested and won the trust and popularity of the consumer. Nike Air Max: evolution of legendary sneakers for 27 years
March 26, 1987 a legend was born. Her name is Nike Air Max. Thanks to the innovation – special cuts in the sole, the invisible became visible, and the new Nike Air cushioning system helped Nike to forever change the design of running sneakers. In anticipation of a landmark day for fans around the world, we recall the path to becoming and transforming the running shoe icon, Nike Air Max.
It all started with the idea of aerospace engineer Frank Rudy, who had his own vision of the perfect fit of running shoes and its role in the lives of athletes. A simple experiment in depreciation turned into the future of the industry thanks to a meeting between Frank Rudy and Nike President Phil Knight in April 1977. Continue reading
Adidas – sports shoes conquering the world.
It is believed that sneakers, as an independent type of shoe, appeared in the United States at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries. The first models were shoes with a rubber sole and fabric upper, as well as a reinforced back and toe. These shoes were so soft and comfortable that the steps of the person walking in them were not even heard. From here the American name of sneakers went – “Sneakers” (sneakers from English sneak – to sneak, sneak up). Unfortunately, it is quite difficult to restore the manufacturer and the exact date of the very first sneakers, since today there are many very conflicting opinions on this.
However, it is well known that in 1917 Converse released the first pair of shoes designed specifically for playing basketball – Converse All-Stars sneakers. Continue reading
